Steve's home page is designed for two purposes.  First, to provide and interesting reason for the visitor to stay and explore; second to provide CLEAR, CONSISTENT navigation to the other parts of the site.  It also contains two CALLS TO ACTION with direct links to buy Steve's newest book. 

Since Steve's genre is horror, we used a frightening graphic that sets the tone.  Since the background is extremely dark, we're using a high contrast yellow font to ensure that the pages are readable.  The Contact Us link is displayed in three common places (top, bottom and left navigation),  You don't need to use all three. 

We advised Steve to add a Blog, but he say's he's too busy counting his money to do any blogging.
